We finished going over the Geologic Time Scale guiding questions which should be taped into your journal on page 73.  See me for the key, or visit the Agenda Log Blog for the link (follow the link to the Agenda Log at right on the Science Blog website).

In your journal on the connections pages (66 and 67),  use the three arrows (weak, medium and strong connections) to mark connections between the summary for lesson U4Act2: Absolute Age Dating, and the Big Unit Questions.  Also use the arrows to evaluate and diagram connections between each lesson - how closely are they related?

Copy the following summary for U4Act3: The Geologic Time Scale the connections pages in your journal:

Earth’s 4.6 billion year history is divided into Eon, Era, Period and Epochs by major events such as mass extinctions, changes in climate, big changes in rock types, called the Geologic time scale.
