Today was the reward day for those students who got a “3” for Habits of Work, and makeup day for everyone else. Block 1 watched a video on the Permian extinction - the biggest extinction in Earth's history, in which 90 - 95% of life on Earth went extinct.

Key Question: In contrast with relative dating, how do researchers figure out how old something is in years before today.
Relative age(dating): method of describing age of one object or event compared with another.
Absolute Age: Age in years of a geologic event, fossil, or rock, usually found by radioactive tests.
